Sourcing Candidates
We source our candidates through advertising in high quality National and Regional publications and on independent recruitment websites.  We also have a resource team who network with candidates and dedicate their time to sourcing new candidates through referrals and recommendations. 

We also attract candidates via our client open evenings.  This year we have partnered with several clients to host events for potential candidates at our office premises.


Assessing Candidate Suitability
From the receipt of a requirement to successful placement, our rigorous framework ensures that we only forward applicants who are best suited to your requirements.

All CV's will be handled and vetted by the Simon James account team. All suitable candidates will be interviewed and will receive your company literature (where available), job specifications and induction material (after approval of the material by the Client).

Experienced resource staff will conduct our initial assessment of candidates through their CVs and via an initial telephone conversation, ensuring suitable applicants are found and interviewed face to face quickly.


Interviewing Process
When a candidate is identified as being potentially suitable for a specific assignment, the account team will conduct a thorough interview before short-listing candidates. Where possible we will conduct face-to-face interviews at our in-house interview offices or at a location suitable to the candidate if required.

An Simon James Account Manager will conduct interviews to ensure that the applicant is fully aware of the nature of the position and the company, and will verify that the candidate conforms to the technical competencies. If desired, we will perform a structured/competency-based interview based on materials provided by the Client.


Technical Tests
Simon James are forging alliances with companies such as TeckCheck to test candidates and we would be happy to discuss whether this would be suitable for your requirements.


Vacancy Response Time
We will confirm receipt of notification of a new vacancy within one hour and will submit a CV to the Client with 24 hours of notification providing the candidate is of the quality required. If we are unable to identify a suitable candidate within this timeframe, for example if the requirement is for a particularly scarce skill set, we will submit a progress report.

Simon James will forward up to three relevant CV’s per vacancy. This accuracy will significantly reduce the administrative burden on your line managers enabling them to focus on the core aspects of their roles.

Simon James can tailor the format of CV’s submitted according to Client requests. All CV’s are sent via electronic mail.
